SELF-DRAINING VESSELS

We build our self-draining vessels in different configurations according to the product, the degree of emptying required and the discharge method. We design conical-bottom, frustoconical and mechanised-discharge versions, taking care over the geometry, the evacuation of the contents and how they really fit into the process they are to serve.

Self-draining vessels with frustoconical bottom

Self-draining vessels with frustoconical bottom

Designed to steer the product towards the outlet, supporting emptying, cutting internal build-up and speeding up discharge operations.

Self-draining vessels with mechanised discharge

Self-draining vessels with mechanised discharge

For products that need extra help emptying, our self-draining vessels with mechanised discharge carry mechanical elements that assist the contents out and improve evacuation.

Frustoconical self-draining vessels

Frustoconical self-draining vessels

Designed to help the contents flow out, our frustoconical self-draining vessels bring a practical geometry where the process calls for controlled discharge and good use of the volume.

Self-draining vessels with sloped flat bottom

Self-draining vessels with sloped flat bottom

Built with a sloped flat bottom that moves the product towards the outlet, makes gravity draining easier and cuts down residue hold-up. This configuration also makes the equipment easier to clean and maintain.

What you need to know

Since 2014 we have built more than 300 self-draining vessels with capacities between 15.4 and 200 m³, a track record that reflects well-established knowledge of this equipment and of how it behaves in service. They are closely tied to the wine industry, conceived to work through the harvest with different duties depending on whether red or white grapes are being handled. Their distinguishing feature is a design geared to the process: bottom door with hydraulic or electric opening, extraction paddle to remove the pomace, cooling jackets to control temperature, pump-over pipe with diffuser and a bleeding grid to draw off the must.

What sets our self-draining vessels apart is the way every detail is built. We select between stainless steel 304, 304L, 316 or 316L, we take care over welds, finishes and internal cleanliness, and we resolve the key fittings for fermentation. Where the duty calls for it, the design can be tied to standards such as PED 2014/68/EU and EN 13445 for pressure-bearing parts.

CHECKS

Definition that adds value

The client starts from a self-draining vessel defined with sounder judgement, where discharge, temperature control, cleaning and operation really answer the intended use in the winery.

Manufacturing that adapts

We build each item of equipment according to grape type, working method, the season and the needs of the winery, avoiding generic solutions poorly tuned to the harvest.

Sounder construction judgement

Bottom door, extraction paddle, jackets, pump-over and bleeding all call for precise workmanship so the equipment performs well when most is asked of it.

Better performance in service

A well-built self-draining vessel makes fermentation, emptying, pomace removal and cleaning easier, and gets more out of the equipment in and out of season.

Well-integrated solutions

The client receives equipment better resolved for their installation, built to fit the process, the connections and the way the winery works.
